Setting:
This book takes place in Colorado, and continues the adventures of Arlo Finch, a 12-year-old boy. This book a mystery-fantasy, and is the sequel to “Arlo Finch in the Valley of Fire”. It is told in third person.
Plot:
Arlo Finch and his Ranger Patrol have survived their trip into the Long Woods and back. Arlo is ready for the next time something magical happens, but he did not expect it to come this soon. Before going to Camp Redfeather, the Ranger’s equivalent of a summer camp, he finds a canyon where on the opposite side, he sees HIS Ranger Patrol, but him and Conner, his patrol leader, are nowhere to be found. At Camp Redfeather, Arlo stumbles upon more buried secrets. He and his friends slowly but surely start to uncover the secrets of the long-lost Yellow Patrol. But when this mystery turns out to be connected to something even greater, will Arlo survive?
Recommendation:
This book incorporated a time travel element, and I really loved it! However, I will not go into depth about it, because that would lead to major spoilers. Anyway, I loved how the story continued well from its prequel, and the new characters added on to the story well. In the end, you should really read this book.
