Setting:
This book takes place in the U.K, specifically Ireland. It also takes place underground, in the fairy world. This is a fantasy-adventure novel with a little bit of Sci-fi, that the time frame is in modern times. Artemis Fowl and Holly Short are the two main characters, one human boy teenager, and one fairy girl. This book is told in the first person.
Plot:
Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code ended with Artemis and his household getting brainsweeped by the fairies. Now back as a criminal mastermind, Artemis plans to steal a panting that not many people know its whereabouts. Back in Haven, Holly prepares to receive a promotion, but does not want it. Back in a fairy hospital, Opal Koboi, pixie criminal genius, awakes from her self-induced coma. She has plotted her revenge for months, and is ready to execute her devious plan. When Holly and Artemis are reintroduced, Artemis must rediscover his lost knowledge, and come up with a plan to defeat the evil pixie yet again.
Recommendation:
This book is pretty good, and I think reintroduced everyone’s favorite pixie criminal genius, Opal Koboi, very well. I liked how Mulch played an important part for he is one off my favorite characters.
