Today is World Book Day! I really think that World Book Day is a great idea and we should all start a new book today. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite books I read this year so far and last year!
Favorite Non-Fiction Book:
I am Malala (Young Readers Edition)
https://amzn.to/4aLSssW (Paid Link)
This book is a true story about a young girl in Pakistan named Malala. She speaks out about women education, but ends up getting shot by the Taliban. This book has a great story, and shows what life is like in a country controlled by terroism. You should definitely check this one out.
Favorite Science Fiction Book:
Dune
https://amzn.to/3UuA564 (Paid Link)
This is the greatest science fiction book I have ever read. It is about a teenage boy who is stranded on a desert planet and has mind powers. The places and characters in this book are described wonderfully, and the plot is magnificent. The book is a little hard to get through, but it is totally worth it. If you are looking for a long summer read, this is definitely one for you.
Favorite Adventure Book:
Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes
https://amzn.to/4493aY3 (Paid Link)
This book definitively counts as adventure. It is about a boy named Peter who is blind but gains 3 pairs of magical eyes. He travels to many different lands, and it is overall a great book. My favorite character is Sir Tot, who is Peter's traveling companion. The plot is great, and I really love the ending. This book is definitely one you should add to your reading list.
Favorite Mystery Book:
Framed!
https://amzn.to/49NHSQT (Paid Link)
This is definitely one of my favorite books ever, The mystery isn't gory or violent, and I love all the characters. I love TOAST, which is what the main character uses to figure out the mysteries in this book. This book is about a kid named Florian who helps the FBI figure out an art mystery. If this sounds good to you, you should either check out my full review or buy the book for yourself.
