Setting:

This book takes place in Alexandra, Ohio, and continues the book series “Mr. Lemoncello’s Library”. The main character is Kyle Keeley, a 12-year-old boy who absolutely loves games. This book is told in third person, and takes place around modern times. The genre of this book is mystery.

Plot:

Kyle Keeley and his friends are the champions of Mr. Lemoncello’s breakout game. But kids across the US claim they can do better. So, in an all-new game, Mr. Lemoncello invites teams across the country to compete in the one and only Library Olympics. Here, kids from across are grouped into seven teams, and must win the most medals to claim victory in the Library Olympics. From the Midwest comes the seemingly unstoppable Marjory Muldauer, whose knowledge on the Dewey Decimal System is unchallenged. Also, books keep disappearing from Mr. Lemoncello’s library! Can Kyle and his friends defeat Marjory Muldauer, win the Library Olympics, and find out the mystery behind the missing books?

Recommendation:

This book is pretty good, and has a unique approach on the theme of a library. The characters are funny, there is no violence and blood, and is not inappropriate. Kyle is very relatable to, and is a good main character. So, after you read the first book, read this one.
